Skin redness and the rosacea score, especially the criteria of flush, burning and stinging of the skin as well as dry skin, decreased significantly during the study. Because skin redness subsided, the skin also became significantly more luminous. Skin hydration level also improved over the course of the study, as did quality of life, which was measured using the DLQI (Dermatology Life Quality Index).

SKIN COMPATIBILITY
Overall, it was found that application of the DADO SENS SENSACEA care series was well-tolerated and had a high level of acceptance, with two exceptions in which a contact allergy developed after 14 days.
THE STUDY
23 women and 5 men between the ages of 42 and 76 (average age 54.75), whose skin can be described as follows:
In 9, the skin tends to develop papulopustular rosacea (subtype II),
and in 19 cases, the skin tends to develop telangiectasias and erythema (redness) (subtype I).
The test subjects were asked to use exclusively the product series made available to them for the duration of the observational period (two months). The participants were instructed to use the test products in the following order: SENSACEA Cleansing Gel, SENSACEA Intensive Serum and SENSACEA Face Emulsion, twice daily.

During the study, an in-depth conversation was held with the participants prior to application of the products. After that, a patch test was conducted on the participants’ backs with all three test products, and the participants filled out a “dermatological quality of life questionnaire” as well as a questionnaire on their general health status. In addition, the investigator measured the rosacea score, skin redness and skin hydration.
The participants then filled out questionnaires on dermatological quality of life, general health status and product efficacy after two weeks, four weeks and eight weeks.
