Ingredients

Ingredients*

  • AQUA [WATER]
    • Spring water or thermal water. Water from the Bunter sandstone strata of the Northern Black Forest. Transported from our own wells drilled at a depth of 165 m. Unchlorinated and naturally pure. For moisturizing the skin’s surface and as a solvent for water-soluble active substances and botanical extracts. In ProBalance, REGENERATION E and Ectoin Anti-Aging Fluid, we use the mineral-rich thermal water from Bad Wildbad instead of spring water.
  • LAURYL GLUCOSIDE
    • An active cleansing substance/surfactant. A very mild and very easily biodegradable surfactant of plant origin. A compound of natural coconut fatty acids.
  • SODIUM LAURYL SULFOACETATE
    • An active cleansing substance/surfactant, SLSA. A surfactant of plant origin with excellent foaming properties. It is often confused with the much more frequently used and less expensive sulfate surfactants SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) and SLES (sodium laureth sulfate) found in conventional products.
  • SODIUM COCOAMPHOACETATE
    • An active cleansing substance/surfactant. A biodegradable surfactant with good skin-compatibility from coconut fatty acids.
  • SODIUM CHLORIDE
    • Sodium chloride/table salt. Deployed in cosmetics as an auxiliary substance to thicken surfactant products, such as shampoos and shower gels, for example.
  • BETAINE
    • Betaine. Obtained from sugar beet. Betaine attaches itself to the keratin (a structural protein) of the hair and skin, and has a moisturizing effect. It also reduces static in the hair.
  • CAPRYL/CAPRAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE
    • An active cleansing substance/surfactant. A very mild and easily biodegradable surfactant.
  • MARIS SAL [SEA SALT]
    • The sea salt from Brittany and the Dead Sea is used as a sustainable, gentle exfoliant. The dissolved minerals and trace elements have a caring, soothing and moisturizing effect.
  • CITRIC ACID
    • Citric acid. Derived by fermentation from corn substrate. Used to regulate the pH value of cosmetics.
  • LEVULINIC ACID
    • Levulinic acid. An acid from fructose that stabilizes the pH value.
  • PHENYLPROPANOL
    • Phenylpropanol. An alcohol used as a solvent and auxiliary substance in raw materials.
  • SODIUM LEVULINATE
    • Sodium salt of levulinic acid. Stabilizes the pH value of cosmetics and has a mild antibacterial effect.
  • P-ANISIC ACID
    • Anisic acid. Stabilizes the pH value of cosmetics and has a mild antibacterial effect.
  • PANTHENOL
    • D-panthenol/provitamin B5. Converts to pantothenic acid/vitamin B5 on the skin. It binds moisture and has a regenerating effect, and therefore wound-healing properties.
  • GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE
    • A surfactant/co-emulsifier. Produced from plant glycerin and plant fatty acids. It has moisturizing, emulsifying and caring properties.
